Aamanns Nordhavn: breakfast, smørrebrød and dinner planned for October
A forthcoming Copenhagen opening will split the day into breakfast, smørrebrød lunch and a separate evening menu. Here is what is confirmed—and what to check before making the trip.
A smørrebrød lunch and a fish burger at dinner are not the same restaurant outing. That is the useful distinction in Aamanns’ plans for Nordhavn: the Copenhagen operator is preparing a restaurant with three separate parts to the day, rather than simply extending a lunch menu into the evening.
As checked on 5 October 2026, this is a forthcoming opening. Aamanns’ own Nordhavn page still announces an October opening, without giving a precise day. The address is Århusgade 145, 2150 Nordhavn, Copenhagen. Do not read the published service hours as proof that the doors are already open.
Choose the meal before choosing the time
The operator’s announced breakfast selection includes yoghurt with compote and granola, øllebrød, and warm sourdough toast with cheese and ham. Its published breakfast window is 08:00–11:00, Monday to Sunday, once the restaurant opens.
For lunch, the emphasis moves to smørrebrød: open sandwiches with planned options including chicken salad, beef tartare, avocado and hand-peeled prawns. The page also mentions sourdough bread; it is worth checking the individual dish rather than assuming every sandwich uses the same base. Lunch is listed as 11:30–16:30 daily, with last orders at 16:00.
Dinner is a different proposition. Aamanns describes an à la carte offering, warm smørrebrød and a burger with crisp-fried plaice and tartare sauce. The published evening window is 17:30–22:30 daily, with last orders at 20:15. That last-order time is the practical detail to remember: a later closing time does not mean the kitchen takes orders until closing.
These are the operator’s announced plans, checked before opening, not a report of dishes we have eaten. The restaurant says its menu will follow the seasons, so treat the examples as an introduction to the concept rather than a promise that every item will be available on every visit.
Takeaway is part of the plan
Aamanns also announces a neighbouring Deli & Takeaway Nordhavn, intended for taking smørrebrød and desserts home. That gives a second way to try the food without a seated meal. The restaurant’s listed service windows should not automatically be treated as the takeaway counter’s hours: check the relevant ordering information separately.
For visitors deciding between lunch and dinner, the simplest approach is to begin with the food. Choose lunch if the smørrebrød selection is the attraction; look at the evening menu if you want the warm dishes or the plaice burger.
What to check before making the trip
The opening falls in Aamanns’ twentieth-anniversary year. Nordhavn Avis reported the project on 2 September, but this is not an opening-day review or a newly confirmed launch date.
Before travelling, use Aamanns’ own Nordhavn page to confirm the opening day, the service you want and the current menu. Check dish prices and what any set menu includes before booking; this preview makes no price comparison or claim that the restaurant is a budget option.
The confirmed takeaway from the announcement is the shape of the offer: breakfast, a dedicated smørrebrød lunch and a distinct evening menu at one Nordhavn address. The exact first day remains the detail to verify.
