NIMI opens in Barcelona: sandos at a new Pau Claris address
Grupo Nomo’s new Japanese bar opened on 8 October. Here is what its own menu lists, and why the reported €22 average spend is not a set-menu offer.
A Japanese sandwich can be the main event, not a stopgap before sushi. That is the useful starting point for NIMI, Grupo Nomo’s new address at Carrer de Pau Claris, 107, Barcelona, where sandos occupy their own section of the menu.
This is a recent opening, not an announcement of somewhere still to come. Trade publication Restauración News reported that NIMI opened on 8 October 2026. Its own menu and ordering website were accessible when we checked on 13 October.
Start with the filling
The official menu gives three clear routes into the sando selection:
- Tamago sando — €9.90: egg, Japanese mayonnaise and lime.
- Ebi Chili Sando — €12.90: prawn with a spicy sauce.
- Katsu Sando — €13.90: panko-coated pork loin in brioche, with red cabbage, tonkatsu sauce, mayonnaise and mustard.
These are three individual sandwich prices observed on NIMI’s own online menu on 13 October 2026, in euros. They are not a set-menu price: the listings do not include a drink or side. We did not place an order or verify a checkout total, and delivery charges, availability and channel-specific prices should be checked separately.
For something smaller, the menu also has a mini-roll section. Starters include edamame and karaage chicken, while the sweet section lists a matcha roll cake and an ichigo sando with strawberries. It is a menu that leaves room for either a sandwich-led stop or several separately ordered items; it does not make every combination a fixed meal deal.
Who is behind it?
Launch coverage identifies the kitchen team led by Grupo Nomo’s Naoyuki Haginoya as the developers of the offer, with Hisanori Matsuki heading the new concept. NIMI is a new brand within the group, rather than simply another restaurant carrying the Nomo name.
That distinction is useful when looking up the menu or ordering: use NIMI’s own website, not a menu for a different Nomo address.
The €22 figure is a forecast, not a promise
You may see €22 per person in reports about the opening. Both the pre-opening coverage in Mundo Deportivo Foodie and the opening-day report in Restauración News describe it as a projected average spend.
It is not an advertised €22 set menu, and the reports do not define a standard basket of food and drink for that sum. The individual prices above are a more concrete starting point for deciding what you might order. They are not a comparison with other restaurants or a measure of value or quality.
Before heading over
Use Pau Claris, 107 as the address, and check current opening hours directly before travelling: we are not publishing a verified timetable here. NIMI’s official website presents takeaway and delivery options, but seeing those options does not confirm delivery to a particular address or an available collection slot.
Check the current menu and ask the restaurant about ingredients or dietary requirements rather than assuming that an egg-based sandwich is suitable for every vegetarian diet.
This is a researched opening guide, not a restaurant review. MenuRoom has not visited or tasted the food. Opening information comes from the dated reports below; menu examples were checked against the restaurant’s own site on 13 October 2026.
